Tessa Hyndman is an interdisciplinary artist from Toronto, currently based in Minneapolis, where she is completing her BFA at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. In her work, she is most interested in the ways we can press feeling through thought, unearthing the absurdity that lies within the pulp of our experience of reality, and folding it into something preservable. In her drawings, prints, and sculptures, she works with a visual language that draws on phenomenological theories, metaphysics, magical realism, and familial folklore, to form liminal capsules that take the shape of fear, grief and love.
